The gemological analysis of diamonds, precious stones and other minerals must be carried out by gemologists of many years experience in this field who have a keen sense of the professional code of ethics governing their work as well as a thorough knowledge of crystallographic, optical and physical phenomenon.

The identification of the various species and varieties of stones, the distinction between natural and synthetic material, as well as various treatment methods currently encountered are all very sensitive factors. More specifically for diamonds, the laws of refraction and dispersion of light, the related geometric data as well as knowledge of all aspects involved in the cutting process are essential. This gemological report is provided upon request of the customer and/or the owner of the gem.

By making this report IGI does not agree to purchase or replace the article. Neither IGI nor any member of its staff shall, at any time, be held responsible for any discrepancy, which may result from the application of other grading methods. Neither the client nor any purchaser of the gem shall regard this Report as an appraisal, nor as a guaranty or warranty. This report is subject to the terms and conditions set forth above and on reverse.

This Report is submitted by IGI b.v.b.a. and accepted by the Client on the following terms and conditions:

•  IGI has examined the article(s) referred in this Report carefully with specialized instruments and prepared this Report to the best of its knowledge and professional standards.

•  The persons/parties seeing this Report recognize that opinions may reasonably vary as to the characteristics covered in this Report; hence, neither IGI nor any member of its staff shall, at any time, be held responsible for any discrepancy which may result from the application of other grading methods.

•  This Report is provided upon request of the Client and/or the owner of the article(s). By making this Report IGI does not agree to purchase or replace the article(s). IGI is neither a party nor endorses any kind of transaction, including but not restrictive, such as sale; purchase; barter.

•  Neither the Client nor any purchaser of the article(s) referred herein shall regard this Report as an appraisal or as a guaranty/warranty.

•  For protection and transportation purposes, the article(s) can be sealed in a plastic box containing the original report number.

•  In the event of any claim by the Client or any person for damage to the article(s), or damages resulting, directly or indirectly, from this Report, the liability of IGI shall be limited to the amount it receives as a fee in connection with this Report.

•  IGI operates as an independent laboratory and has no financial interest in the sale of any diamonds/jewelry.

•  This Report shall be governed by Belgian Judicial system. Only the law courts of Antwerp are competent in case of disputes.
