IGI’s Attestation of Origin not only authenticates one’s diamond but also states it is in full compliance with the Kimberley Process, (the US 2003 Clean Diamond Act and the USA Patriot Act*). Attestation of the diamond’s origin and the ability to track the diamond is documented by IGI and signed by the submitter, who is responsible for maintaining a database tracking system for each submitted diamond. An IGI LaserscribeSM inscription appears on the diamond depicting the IGI report number.
An IGI Attestation of Origin assures consumers their diamonds were responsibly mined and ethically sourced and traded from the origin of the diamonds to the retail marketplace making them “conflict free.”
